humanitarian situation in Yemen

The humanitarian situation in Aden is deteriorating and residential areas are still witnessing fighting. Damages to the grain mills have resulted in shortages in the availability of flour. Most of the bakeries in the city have shut down, creating a bread shortage crisis. Many shops and food warehouses have been looted by residents, especially in Crater and Dar Saad districts. Several residential buildings have been burnt down in ongoing violence between various parties to conflict in southern Yemen. Al-Jumhooria Hospital in Aden was aggressively intruded by armed forces. The Health operations room in Aden is still closed.  One ambulance in Al-Hawtah in Lahj Governorate was targeted and hit while attempting to rescue injured people. The humanitarian situation in Taiz is seriously deteriorating also. Residential areas are witnessing fighting by heavy arterially. Al-Thawra Hospital in Taiz was targeted and hit. The ICU was severely damaged and one nurse was injured. The humanitarian situation in Sa’ada Governorate is as bad as others. Many health staff have left their duty stations due to fear of direct attacks.
